Since the beginning of the year, it feels like someone hit the gas pedal on my life. Why? I started culinary school.
And that's it. That's all that's happened, but it feels like a lot more. Most of the time, when I'm not at school or working, I'm a total vegetable on the couch.
But every once in a while, I try to bake a little, now working to incorporate new skills and techniques. That definitely includes this beaut: a fresh orange tart. The base is Pate Sucree, filled with vanilla pastry cream, and topped with orange supremes and orange zest confit. Simple, fresh, and delicious.
