Ice Cream Week

I know I technically missed National Ice Cream Day, heck I missed the whole month, but it's been so gosh-darn hot this August, I've been getting that feeling. You know, that feeling in summer, like you could eat ice cream all day long, breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Well, that sounded like a good idea to me.

Introducing 3 square meals of homemade ice cream! I'm gonna release one of these bad boys every day this week. You're welcome, America.

A Word on Ice Cream Machines:

With a machine, making ice cream is not hard. It's usually just cream and sugar, you can't really go wrong. Without a machine, it's much trickier, but not impossible. There are some awesome tutorials on-line, that accommodate recipes similar to mine.

For my ice cream recipes, I will say to "Churn the mixture in your ice cream machine for x amount of time, till ready." I know this is vague, and I'm sorry! Every machine is different, and it all depends on your own preference to know when the ice cream is good and ready. I use a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer Ice Cream Attachment, which makes very small batches and is open to the air, so freezer set times can be longer.
